Cold Fusion graphics tags

Manufacture your own graphics on the fly with CFX_FONT and our other graphics utilities.

Cold Fusion is normally linked with database development, but as our CFX_FONT text graphic generator and CFX_COUNT graphic web counter show, it has a variety of uses, partly because developers can design and distribute their own tags.
If you are not a Cold Fusion developer, any tags featured on these pages will not mean a lot to you. Do take the time, however, to check it out - it can put a lot of power at your fingertips.
If you are a Cold Fusion developer, we'd be happy to feature your custom tag, be it shareware or freeware, on this page.

CFX_FONT: [DOWNLOAD] (106K) [DEMO]
Now in its second version, this is a custom tag, developed by us at Albedo Systems, that allows web designers and administrators to generate neat, anti-aliased, multi-colour text graphics on the fly, or in large batches. If you'd like to see what it can do, try this demo. To find out more, here is a copy of the supporting documentation (this is also included in the zip file).
CFX_FONT is currently freeware. It may be freely distributed, provided that the readme.txt file contained in the zip archive is retained unchanged.
This tag could not have been developed without the excellent gd1.2 C graphics library from boutell.com - the source code that has helped to launch a thousand websites.

NEW: Scott Cottingham has developed Font2BMP, a very useful Windows 95 program that generates a sequence of font images for use with CFX_FONT. Although the images are not anti-aliased, it's a great program. The program saves the images as Windows bitmaps (.BMPs), so the use of Paint Shop Pro to batch-convert them into GIFs is recommended. Download Font2BMP from Scott's WebCatering site now.

CFX_COUNT: [DOWNLOAD] (29K)
This tag, another of our own Albedo products, addresses one of those trivial but annoying problems - how to put graphic hit counters on websites (well, some people still seem to like this kind of thing). This is what it does:

CFX_COUNT download counter ...downloads of CFX_COUNT since 2 September 1997

The tag featured here is Version 2, which allows many more options including tailorable foreground/background colours and more. It fully supercedes the V1.0 tag, users of which should upgrade. If you'd like to know more, here's the full supporting documentation.
CFX_COUNT is freeware, and may be freely distributed, provided that the readme.txt file contained in the zip archive is retained unchanged. The tag is highly customisable and full supporting documentation can be found in the zip archive. The Boutell gd1.2 library was used to develop CFX_COUNT.

CFX_CLOCK: [DOWNLOAD] (20K)
Just a little pot-boiler, this, really - it seemed like a good way of using up a bit of old C code I've had hanging around for ages (well what can you be expected to do in the middle of a dark January?). This tag generates a customisable graphics analog clock showing the local time on your server.
Given that the hands are only one pixel wide, you'd probably be better off making the background clockface smaller than the one above... But it fills space though, doesn't it? If you'd like to know more, here's the full supporting documentation.
CFX_CLOCK is freeware, and may be freely distributed, provided that the readme.txt file contained in the zip archive is retained unchanged. The Boutell gd1.2 library was used to develop CFX_CLOCK.
