My musical favourite this week is the sonically fascinating Piano Graphique, that turns your keyboard into… well, a keyboard.

This amazing bit of software means that when you hit various keys you trigger off a series of audio and visual samples, in a dance, jazz or hip-hop style. Add a drum loop, sax solo or a bit of scratching and you will be amazed at the results. You can even convert the graphics into a record sleeve for your magnum opus, at the touch of a button. Who’d have thought you and your computer could make such beautiful music together?
