freelawyer.co.uk
review by: Jason Bradbury

If you thought the words ‘free’ and ‘lawyer’ could never be used in the same sentence, then prepare to be astounded by this site.

At freelawyer.co.uk these words are indeed shockingly conjoined – but there’s a good service on offer. You get to choose one of six lawyers, who each specialise in certain areas. Having chosen your case domain they outline the law and follow up with a questionnaire. ‘Real world’ lawyers who may like to take your request further are then listed by location. From the ‘My Case’ page you can check-in on your request for legal assistance, and various costing offers.

To that end the ‘Legal Café’ offers a kind of ‘chill out chat room for suits’ approach, to the kind the of mini-debates that at best are puzzling pub chat fodder, and at worst could lead to mental breakdown.

Ever wondered if bus conductors are obliged to take your tenner? It’s all here courtesy of lawyer Fenton Bresler. Through various associated web sites, Free Lawyer offers all manner of commercial legal services – while not free they are cheap. You can receive fixed-price e-mail replies to specific questions from the ‘Legal Services Shop’ for example. There is much to satisfy the law-hungry punter here, and if you’re unfortunate enough to need legal advice you’d do worse than seek it here first.
