britishboxing.com
review by: Jason Bradbury

British boxing is reeling from the bitter blow of defeat right now, but this contender is fighting fit and full of punch.

Navigation and content on britishboxing.com comes in many shapes and sizes. There’s UK-oriented news and features, archives and stats galore, plus US news and details of world rankings and current champions. The ‘World Beaters’ menu is divided into the top eight world title holders in British boxing. Each personality leads to stats and boxography. One particularly telling feature is the chronological press archive for Naseem Hamed, which features the headline ‘Hamed Convinced he will KO Barrera’. The ‘Archive’ is a tribute to the sport and a valuable source of research. Through the ‘Boxer Profiles’ link of the ‘Stats’ section a copious list of British boxing talent can be sourced by weight or name and each entry has a detailed biography and press clippings pool.

There’s little video here - maybe that’s a rights thing - but there is plenty of other stuff to keep you occupied, in the shape of a discussion forum, betting odds if you fancy a flutter, and a shop for ticket sales and merchandise.

Visit this comprehensive site and you’ll hopefully understand more of the appeal of ‘the noble art’.
